Brian Goldman is a NYS licensed and board-certified behavior analyst who has worked with families and individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, neurological and mental health problems since 2000. He did his graduate work in Psychology and Health from Middlesex University in London, England and completed his BCBA coursework from the University of North Texas. Over the years Brian has work as a clinician, administrator, researcher, presenter and teacher with a focus on autism, developmental disabilities, psychology and healthcare. He has presented at numerous conferences both in the US and abroad, with a focus on autism and his case study research.
Behavior Therapist Supervisor
Dejon has worked with children, teens, and young adults with Autism over his career in their homes, as part of early intervention cases, vocational cases and as a Teacher Assistant in an Autism Academy. Dejon was a part of a program for families with autism through the Queens College SIBS program, where he assisted children with ASD and their siblings to socialize and increase skill sets. He is pursuing a Graduate degree in ABA to become a BCBA.
Shelby is a limited permit holder NYS licensed and board-certified behavior analyst. She received her M.S. Ed in Special Education from Wilmington University, in Delaware. She completed her BCBA coursework through Hofstra University, in Hempstead New York. Shelby has been working with individuals on the autism spectrum and other developmental disabilities for almost ten years and is dedicated to helping these individuals and their families live life to their fullest potential. Shelby has written behavior plans in the residential, day habilitation centers and school settings. Shelby looks forward to training staff and parents on behavior management and implementation of the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis at Achievement Behavioral Services.
James Manchack has worked in the field of Autism and Developmental Disabilities for 29-years. Graduating from University of Houston-Clear Lake in 1989 and achieving BCBA certification in 2002, James immediately began gaining experience by working at state schools, public schools, group homes, and families’ homes. He has extensive experience working with all ages and severities of challenging behaviors. As a seasoned Behavior Analyst, he is passionate about teaching children new skills and keeping learning fun. Outside of the office, James enjoys spending time with his family and maintaining his sensory toy library.
Erica Schwartz serves as the Staffing Coordinator at Achievement Behavior Services. Erica attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice City University of New York and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Erica has over 10 years of experience in social services and human resources as a case manager, client advocate, educator and recruiter. Erica is passionate about advocating for families with children who have special needs. Erica believes providing ABA services and personal support for both families and providers will enhance the lives of those touched by Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Intake Coordinator and Parent Advocate
Esti Perl serves as an intake coordinator and Parent Advocate at Achievement Behavior Services. Esti attended Touro where she graduated with a degree in business management and advertising. Esti has 5 years of experience in office management. She is passionate about helping kids with autism get the intake process started as soon as possible. Esti has three children, one with nonverbal autism
Naureen is a NYS licensed and board-certified behavior analyst. She received her BA in Psychology from Queens College and her MS in Autism Spectrum Disorders from Elms College, where she also completed her BCBA coursework. Naureen has been working with individuals on the autism spectrum and other developmental disabilities for almost ten years and is dedicated to helping these individuals meet their highest potential and foster meaningful change. Naureen has worked in the home and schools providing direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. She has trained staff on behavior management, the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and has worked collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams in the school setting.
Carolyn is a NYS licensed and board-certified behavior analyst. She received her BA and MA in Psychology from Adelphi University. She completed her BCBA coursework through Florida Institute of Technology. Carolyn has been working with individuals on the autism spectrum and other developmental disabilities for over twelve years. Carolyn has worked in school settings, group homes and family’s homes over the last twelve years. She has extensive experience working with all age groups and is dedicated to helping others meet their highest potential. She has been involved in research and has presented at numerous conferences over the last few years.
Evan Schneiderman is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. He has over 8 years of experience with individuals with autism and other co-morbid diagnoses’. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Queens College. His Master’s thesis focused on staff training, more specifically how to increase treatment integrity and overall efficacy across large agencies and programs. While there, he served as a research assistant at the Human Learning Lab under the direction of Dr. Peter Sturmey and as a supervisor at the Queens College SIBS club under the direction of Dr. Emily Jones. In the past, Evan has worked with both adults and children in various settings including schools, residential facilities, and day programs. In each of these settings, he has worked to implement evidence based programs targeting operant functions of maladaptive behavior. Additionally, he has extensive knowledge designing and implementing functional living skills for older individuals, conducting Functional Behavior Assessments, designing Behavior Intervention Plans, and training paraprofessional’s to carry out the necessary components of each plan in each of these settings. His programming for skill acquisition include a variety of approaches including Discrete Trial Teaching, Natural Environment Teaching, and Verbal Behavior. Currently, he is interested in how to make the methodologies of Applied Behavior Analysis more accessible to those who have no formal training in managing behavior or implementing skill acquisition programs. He is also interested in utilizing technology to further support supervision and parent training. His overall goal is to provide effective treatment for each of his clients. He recognizes that this requires a personal, individualized approach and is committed to implementing plans that work for each specific person.
Jair Yepez is an NYS licensed and board-certified behavior analysts. Jair received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Queen College where he completed his BCBA coursework. Currently, Jair is working on obtaining his Ph.D. degree from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Behavior Analysis. Jair has worked with families and children with autism in school and home settings. Jair's main work area and research interests focus on helping families and children with autism cope with problem behaviors and the emergence of language in children with language deficits. Jair’s current research involves understanding the influence and use of Applied Behavior Analysis in Latin American countries. Jair is passionate about Behavior Analysis and looks forward to helping families and children achieve their goals.
I want to take the time to thank you guys for all your hard work. I know your job isn't easy but I want you to know that your hard work is paying off. My son is doing things he's never done before interested in potty believe it or not he grabs my hand and takes me to the bathroom so he can sit although he doesn't do anything but he takes me. He eats oranges and strawberries that was unheard of a few months ago he sometimes eats with a spoon even if it's for a few seconds that was unheard of he's more attentive omg the list goes on. I just wanted to take the time to say ty and I have the best therapist in the world.
